Americold Logistics

2024

Americold Logistics

This 1.311 MW project for a cold-storage facility in Vineland, New Jersey, was secured as a subcontract to a national solar developer, who has multiple contracts with Americold for solar development on their facilities. The project required prevailing wage and certified payroll because the NJ SREC program requires it for projects over 1 MW. The project commissioning process went off without a concern, and the developer told Exact Solar’s team that it was the cleanest post-installation commissioning report he’s seen in years.

Solid Rock Baptist Church

2025

Solid Rock Baptist Church

Exact Solar installed a 248 kW rooftop installation for Solid Rock Baptist Church in Berlin, NJ. It was an excellent installation with no issues to report. They were a great customer to work with, and they have already introduced us to 2 other affiliated churches in New Jersey to help them go solar with similar projects.

Doylestown Municipal Building

2025

Doylestown Municipal Building

Exact Solar secured the 167.75 kW solar installation contract for Doylestown, PA, through the COSTARS program. Doylestown directly contracted with Exact Solar for turnkey design, procurement, installation, and service. The installation was very successful.

West Rockhill Township

2021

In 2021, Exact Solar designed and installed a 70.2 kW solar system for West Rockhill Township, covering 100% of their municipal electricity costs. This system powers maintenance buildings, wells, stoplights, and city facilities with clean, sun-powered energy. It will continue to produce power for years with minimal maintenance, allowing West Rockhill to anticipate decades of free energy once their payback period concludes. Due to their satisfaction, Jim Miller has traveled throughout the region to present this solar solution to other townships. Since West Rockhill set the precedent as the first township in Pennsylvania to go 100% solar, we’ve observed towns across the state beginning to follow suit.

Sandy Run Middle School

Exact Solar secured the 280 kW installation work for Sandy Run Middle School, a new construction project for the Upper Dublin School District. Exact Solar has performed repeat work for Boro Construction, the project’s electrical contractor.

ASPIRA Bilingual Cyber Charter School

2024

In early 2024, ASPIRA contracted Exact Solar to install a 14.64 kW solar system that fosters STEM education and fights food insecurity. They used two privately funded STEM education grants and solar system components donated by local nonprofits to install a ground-mount solar system and remodel an unused greenhouse on their 35-acre campus. Once the remodel was finished, they installed an aquaponic garden in their greenhouse.

This closed system now uses 100% renewable energy to grow organic, soil-free produce that students will prepare and serve to parents and staff in an on-site “restaurant.” Since much of ASPIRA’s student population lives in “food deserts” (an urban area where it is difficult to buy affordable or good-quality fresh food), this program also provides supplemental nutrition for students who don’t always have access to fresh produce

Camp Nock-a-Mixon

2023 and 2024

Camp Nock-A-Mixon has operated summer camps for children in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, since 1939. In 2023, the camp made a significant move towards sustainability by installing solar systems on several of its buildings.

We are incredibly proud to have built these systems! Camp Nock-A-Mixon is a pillar of our community, and we are delighted to include them in our portfolio. Exact Solar completed a total of three solar projects at this location, equivalent to a total of 120.8 kW.

Snipes Farm and Education Center

2023

Snipes Farm and Education Center is operated by 11th-generation Bucks County farmers, the 7th generation to cultivate the land where the farm is currently located. We are proud to include them in our portfolio. In 2023, Snipes Farm contacted us to design and install a new 58 kW system that would offset 85% of their energy usage.

Princeton Design Guild

2023

Princeton Design Guild, a New Jersey architect/custom home builder, wanted to go solar on its main building. In 2023, they contacted us to design and install a 62.4 kW system.

Upper Darby Municipal Building and Watkins Senior Center

2022

Exact Solar secured the installation contract through a competitive direct bid process conducted by Upper Darby for solar installations on its municipal building and senior center, amounting to a total of 90 kW. While these were smaller projects, the rooftop layout was complex, and roof access was challenging, requiring a street shutdown and a crane lift. The project was a great success and continues to operate very well today. Like our other municipal work, this also required prevailing wage payroll.

United Christian Church of Levittown

2018

a building with solar panels on the roof and flags and cars parked in front of it

In 2008, the United Christian Church in Levittown, PA, purchased a solar thermal system from Exact Solar to reduce water heating costs. In 2018, Exact Solar donated a 6.84 kW solar PV system worth roughly $22,000 to UCC. It has provided UCC with thousands of dollars’ worth of clean energy from the sun for the last several years.

Providence Friends Meeting House

2023

Ground-mounted solar array in a grassy area surrounded by a fence

In 2023, Exact Solar designed and installed a 14.4 kW system for Providence Friends Meeting House. Their Climate Crisis and Finance Committees raised 70% of the project cost through pledges and donations, with the remaining 30% covered by the federal solar investment tax credit.

Community involvement made this project especially meaningful. A local scout troop installed fencing as an Eagle Scout project, while the Landscape Committee planted native perennials around protective bollards. The Climate Crisis Committee also chose to retire the system’s Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs) to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. The project has strengthened the Meeting’s sense of community and deepened their shared commitment to climate action.
